Useful functions for map making:

playerMove(x, y);   -move's the player to the desired coord's

buildObstacle(x, y);   -builds an object (#) at the desired coord's (Recommended that you place on even x/y)

killPlayer();   -kills the player

Spawning Enemies: I could explain the complex way to inject your turn-based or real-time enemy code, but there is a way easier way... look at the score's where enemies spawn (See: Enemy Spawning) and set the score to that for them to spawn.

removeArea();   -deletes all obstacles (#) on the map.

removeEnemies();   -removes the enemies from the map.

Those are all the good functions for map making.
